George Crumb to receive American Academy of Arts and Letters Gold Medal
What a week for George Crumb! The American Academy of Arts and Letters will be honoring George with their Gold Medal for Music award. This prestigious award recognizes distinguished achievement in the field. In the meantime, this review of "Voices from the Heartland" (American Songbook 7) from Bridge's Complete Crumb Edition, Vol. 16 appeared yesterday. AND, next week we'll be releasing Vol. 17, which includes the final installment of George's American Songbook series.
